The building will achieve LEED Gold status and incorporates extensive green technologies that improve building operations and increase resiliency. These include a state-of-the-art battery energy storage system that can provide backup power in the event of a blackout, solar panels, and a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system.


Archer Green, a new 100-percent affordable housing complex in Jamaica, Queens. The property is located at 92-23 168th Street and introduces 387 affordable housing units, a parking garage designed to accommodate 130 vehicles, 70,000 square feet of commercial space, a low-cost Aldi supermarket, and a 15,000-square-foot community center.


Omni New York is the developer responsible for the property, which broke ground in October 2018 and B&V Contracting Enterprises, Inc. was In charge of Drywall & Carpentry works at the project. The project team also includes architects Edelman Sultan Knox Wood and New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the Economic Development Corporation, and the Housing Development Corporation.
